Maui's Nisei Veterans Memorial Center

Central Maui. Learn about the members of the most decorated battalion during World War II and their loyal service despite being segregated, assigned some of the war's most dangerous missions, and having family in internment camps. Not to be missed is the Center's stunning 90-foot mural (a portion is shown here). It’s such a beautiful tribute to these American heroes who, among other acts of exceptional bravery, successfully rescued 211 trapped soldiers from behind German lines.
